Hands-free X-ray technology

Next online course planned for autumn 2024

Course in endoscopy

Online: 5 900 SEK

Target group: Nurses and veterinarians

Level: for everyone

The course includes the examination procedure before endoscopy as well as practical handling of the endoscope so that you can perform the examination independently! We also discuss the interpretation of the biopsy results together with the pathologist and go through the cleaning of the endoscope.

Join us!

  • Does it feel important to reduce your own radiation dose?

  • Are you standing inside the room when taking ED/HD images?

  • Are you unsure whether the x-ray of the hamstring is good?

  • Which parts of the elbow joint need to be made visible in a young dog?

  • Do you want to know how to angle the leg so that the condyles of the knee joint are summed over each other?

  • Vill du veta hur du vinklar benet så att knäledens kondyler ligger summerade över varandra?

Why should you take this particular course?

REDUCE YOUR RADIATION DOSE

During the course, you will learn practical tips and tricks in your image taking for better images and a reduced number of retakes and how to reduce your radiation dose through the hands-free x-ray technology*. Hands-free HD and ED images can be submitted to SKK. The image quality is also evaluated by our Swedish (Step 2) and European (Dip ECVDI) radiologists.

SAFER DIAGNOSIS

By taking the "correct" projections with good image quality, you increase the probability that the correct diagnosis is made. You who take the X-rays therefore have a very large and important part in the patient's continued treatment.

INTERACTIVE LEARNING

The course contains several practical dilemmas where we discuss solutions. To make it even easier to start X-rays hands-free, we also go through the aids available.

Objectives of the course, after completing the course the participant will:

know how the kV, mAs value and image processing affect the appearance of the image and how the image quality can be optimized.

have knowledge of image processing and assessment of image quality.

have good knowledge of specific x-ray technology, e.g. in the event of a foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract and stones in the ureters.

know which skeletal projections are needed for the question.

be able to perform more advanced projections on skeletal parts with distance-safe x-ray technology.

be able to perform distance-safe x-ray technique for abdominal and thoracic x-rays of an awake patient.

have knowledge of current literature.

This is what the participants think

"Super-inspiring educational training"

"Interesting eye-opener for how we can rethink and work in a healthier way with x-rays in animal healthcare."

“Great! Very useful! Got a whole new interest in X-ray technology"

"Very good and developing for us nurses"

“A very helpful course that goes through x-ray technology, aids and settings”

"Extremely instructive, educational and developing course in X-ray, can recommend to anyone with an interest in diagnostic imaging!"

"Will make my work maybe not easier but much safer! Thanks for a great course!"

"Good course, with lots of tips on how to make work in the clinic easier."

"This course will help me work more radiation-safely and at the same time probably take even better pictures."
